STAT 2023–2024 Book Study

Tangible Equity: A Guide for Leveraging Student Identity, Culture, and Power to Unlock Excellence In and Beyond the Classroom by Colin Seale

How can you not only prioritize equity, but also go beyond the buzzwords and leverage your power to do something about it?

Join STAT’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Task Force for a multi-part book study on Tangible Equity: A Guide for Leveraging Student Identity, Culture, and Power to Unlock Excellence In and Beyond the Classroom by Colin Seale.

"Using his personal experiences, shrewd observations and provocative metaphors, Seale offers us the clearest rationale for school-based equity practices coupled with commonsense 'Tuesday-morning-in-October' strategies for raising critical thinkers at every level." (Kimberly L. Mitchell, M.Ed).

This free book study is open to STAT members and nonmembers. All you need is a copy of the book and to register! You'll join a group of peers for online discussion and reflection, and opportunities to build community, develop action plans, and achieve your goals.

This program is ideal for any K–12 science educator.
