The Call for Proposals for the 2024 Conference for the Advancement of Science Teaching (CAST), presented by the Science Teachers Association of Texas, is now open! Submit your session proposal by Friday, May 31, to share your expertise at CAST24, this November 14–16 in San Antonio.
As one of the premier science education events in the country, CAST traditionally features hundreds of breakout sessions presented by educators like YOU who generously share their best strategies for inspiring discovery of the world through science. STAT invites you to turn your innovative teaching strategies and lesson plans into proposals for sessions that could benefit educators and students across Texas and beyond.
Session proposals from all areas of science education are welcome, but in-demand session types and topics include:
- Early Elementary Science (Pre-K–Grade 2)
- Upper-Level Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics
- Implementing the Revised Science TEKS
- Three-Dimensional Learning
- Environmental Science
- Animal Science
- Food Science
- Engineering
- Computer Science, Technology, and AI
- STAT Chats (20–30-minute TED Talk-style presentations that offer a quick look at hot topics in science education)
