Conference shuttle buses will run between Hilton Garden Inn, Holiday Inn Town Lake, Radisson Town Lake, Embassy Suites Austin Downtown and Sheraton Austin Hotel to Austin Convention Center stop outside Exhibit Hall 3 on Trinity St. 6:30 am – 8:00 pm.  The Hilton Austin and Hampton Inn are adjacent to the convention center.

Upon completion of the discussion of geologic time, students are presented with the standard rock cycle. This lesson connects the rock cycle to other common cycles present on the Earth. Furthermore since the students are engaged in a traveling the rock cycle they begin to understand how changes occur along the rock cycle and how the Earth was shaped.

The NASA Fit Explorer project is a scientific and physical approach to human health and fitness on Earth and in space. Students in grades 3-5 will “train like an astronaut” by completing physical activities modeled after the real-life physical requirements of humans traveling in space. Students track their progress while recording goals, experiences and observations in a physical activity journal. Students also gain an understanding of the science behind nutrition and physical fitness by participating in structured hands-on activities that relate physical Earth-based needs to the requirements of exploring space.

The collaborative’s goal is to provide a quality curriculum support system to Texas K-12 schools. TESCCC has developed CSCOPE, a comprehensive, customized, user-friendly curriculum support system. In addition to the curriculum, CSCOPE encompasses resources for the implementation, monitors the curriculum and establishes an accountability process to ensure a quality implementation.



The curriculum component of CSCOPE is based on best practice models from top researchers. Lessons are all aligned with the TEKS/TAKS and each lesson meets the highest standards of rigor and relevance
