Welcome to The Associated Chemistry Teachers of Texas, ACT₂, and web page.  ACT₂ is dedicated to improving the quality of chemical education throughout the state of Texas. The ACT₂ Biennial Conferences consists of workshops; presented by Texas Chemistry Teachers in the tradition exemplified by George Hague, that teaching chemistry is fun.  The ACT₂ Biennial conferences provides opportunities for chemistry teachers and especially new chemistry teachers to participate in exchanging ideas and accumulating an arsenal of creative and effective teaching activities.  

As one of the largest Affiliates of the Science Teachers' Association of Texas, ACT₂ continues to recognize and support those interested in the teaching of chemistry at all levels.   Visit our booth at CAST and explore what ACT₂ has to offer.  When you join ACT₂, you will receive three newsletters, "the reACT₂ant", per year, and you will be included on a very active e-mail list that will keep you abreast of all upcoming events.  If you are interested in joining ACT₂, please download the membership application, fill-in the needed information, and mail it to our Treasurer!  If you have any questions or comments, please e-mail me.
